HSDSLab Paper Ranked as Top BME Publication of 2024 by Citation Impact

October 10, 2025

It is with special pride that we share the news that one of our lab's key publications has received extraordinary recognition. According to the latest Scopus data, our article, “Interpretable Dropout Prediction: Towards XAI-Based Personalized Intervention”, has become the publication with the highest Field-Weighted Citation Impact (FWCI) in 2024 across the entire Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME).

The study has also become the year's second most-cited publication from BME. The ranking considers articles where a BME researcher is the key author, which highlights the research's exceptional scientific impact and influence in its field.

Published in the prestigious International Journal of Artificial Intelligence in Education, this work perfectly exemplifies our lab's commitment to high-impact, cutting-edge research. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to the authors, Dr. Marcell Nagy and Dr. Roland Molontay, on the outstanding recognition of their work.
