The article by Balázs Kui, József Pintér, Roland Molontay, Marcell Nagy, and the colleagues of the Hungarian Pancreatic Study Group, titled EASY-APP: An artificial intelligence model and application for early and easy prediction of severity in acute pancreatitis, has been published in Clinical and Translational Medicine by Wiley.

In this paper, the authors developed an AI-based model for early prediction of the severity of acute pancreatitis, moreover, they used interpretable machine learning tools, to find the most critical factors and their contribution to the individual predictions. The AI model is deployed as an application, which was also developed by HSDSLab, and it is used in practice by medical physicians and it is publicly available.
