We are pleased to announce that the joint proposal by HSDSLab and the KU Leuven LEER research group has won international funding in the 2025 call of the Central Europe Leuven Strategic Alliance (CELSA).
The project is titled: “The Impact of Research Productivity, Student Perceptions, and Online Teaching on Student Evaluation of Teaching”. The research investigates the relationship between teaching practices and student evaluation of teaching (SET) scores. It focuses on two main questions:
How do SET scores correlate with instructors' research productivity?
What was the impact of the transition to online teaching on evaluation results and students' subsequent career paths?
The project is based on close international collaboration, combining expertise from multiple disciplines. A key role in preparing the proposal was played by PhD student Donát Köller and Dr. Roland Molontay, who will work together with Professor Kristof De Witte from KU Leuven and Professor Robert Boute from Vlerick Business School.
The joint research offers new perspectives for investigating the relationship between teaching evaluation and instructor performance and is expected to make useful contributions to the development of university education.
