As a team based in the Institute of Mathematics at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, we gained great expertise in teaching mathematics for engineering students.
Moreover, we are highly involved in teaching data science and statistics (Introduction to Data Science 1, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Statistics 1).
We teach both in Hungarian and English at BME, moreover we also teach data science for US students at the Aquincum Institute of Technology.
Our colleagues receive outstanding student evaluations and are listed among the best instructors frequently.
We are dedicated to talent development. Our research students regularly take part in the Scientific Students' Associations Conference, where they achieve excellent results. At the National Scientific Students' Associations Conferences,
our students have so far won three first prizes, two second prizes and one special prize.
Beyond university education, we also put much emphasis on off-site training meeting client needs in quantitative methods, statistics, data science, machine learning, and network science: either theoretical education or workshops about software and programs.
