We are delighted to share that Emese Pokol, our talented student, has won 3rd place at the Scientific Students' Associations Conference (TDK).
Emese's award-winning project, supervised by PhD student Donát Köller and Dr. Roland Molontay, presented a novel approach to computer control via hand gestures using a vision transformer-based model. The work is a great example of the research opportunities at the intersection of human-computer interaction and machine learning.
Emese's research career began in her first year of university studies, supported by the University Research Fellowship Program (EKÖP), which she was awarded while still in high school—a testament to her early dedication and talent for scientific work.
Special thanks go to the Faculty of Informatics at Eötvös Loránd University for providing the opportunity to present Emese's work and for fostering collaboration among young researchers.
Congratulations to Emese on her outstanding performance and achievement!
