Enikő Zakar-Polyák, MSC student of our lab, was awarded the first prize at the Informatics section of the 36th National Conference of Scientific Students' Associations (OTDK), which was held at Sapientia University of Transylvania in Târgu Mures (Marosvásárhely).
Enikő was awarded 1st place in the Mathematical Methods section with her thesis "Data-driven and model-based analysis of the characteristics of fractal networks".
She started her research on this topic as an undergraduate student under the supervision of Roland Molontay and Marcell Nagy, who also supervised her research student thesis. The authors have since published a paper on the topic in the journal Applied Network Science entitled
"Towards a better understanding of the characteristics of fractal networks".
Congratulations and we wish her further success!
