High School Students Achieve Remarkable Success at the National Scientific Students' Associations Conference (OTDK)

April 17, 2025

We are delighted to share that our exceptionally talented high school competitors have achieved outstanding results at the 37th National Scientific Students' Associations Conference (OTDK) in the Learning and Teaching Methodology – Knowledge Technology Section.

Two of our students, competing against university students, won second prize in their respective divisions—proving that research curiosity and scientific rigor are not dependent on age.

Máté Bende won 2nd place in the Artificial Intelligence in Pedagogy division with his paper titled “Artificial Intelligence in Mathematics: The Capabilities and Practical Effects of ChatGPT”. His work was supervised by PhD student József Pintér and Dr. Roland Molontay.

Máté Bakos achieved 2nd place in the Methodology of Teaching Mathematics division with his entry “Mathematics on the Silver Screen”, supervised by Dr. Roland Molontay.

The awards clearly show the crucial role that early research experience can play in students' scientific career orientation.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Máté Bende and Máté Bakos on their well-deserved recognition, and to their supervisors, PhD student József Pintér and Dr. Roland Molontay, for their dedicated professional support!
