Our Lab's Head Discusses Bridging Math and AI at Columbia University Conference

April 16, 2026

The head of our lab, Dr. Roland Molontay, and his PhD student, Csaba Kiss, had the honor last week of participating in the Neumann Series – New Frontiers conference at Columbia University in New York.

During the event, Roland took part in a highly topical roundtable discussion titled “Bridging Mathematics and AI Through Human Ingenuity.” On the panel, he shared the stage with such renowned experts as Kristóf Hörömpöly, Dr. Bence Ságvári, Dr. János Sztipanovits, and Roland Jakab to discuss how human ingenuity can connect these two pivotal fields.

The participation of our lab members in such a high-profile international event reflects our commitment to contributing to the global dialogue on the future of artificial intelligence and its scientific foundations.

We would like to express our sincere thanks to Dr. Tamás Novák for the excellent organization, and to the hosts, Professors Dr. Szabolcs Márka and Dr. Zsuzsa Márka, for their warm hospitality.
