Two of our lab's researchers, Csaba Kiss and Dr. Roland Molontay, recently represented our lab at the prestigious NetSciX conference, hosted by the University of Auckland in New Zealand. The event provided an excellent platform to share our latest research with the global network science community.
Csaba Kiss presented their joint work titled “Network Dynamics of Scientific Fields: Centralization and Stability in Conceptual and Citation Structures” (co-authored by Dr. Roland Molontay).
Roland Molontay also had a busy schedule: he first presented the study “Citation Distance Matters: Towards a New Metric for Evaluating Journal Impact” (co-authored by Kate Barnes, Bannour Ahmed, and Levente Török).
In addition to his research presentation, Roland also participated in a thought-provoking roundtable discussion organized by NetSpace, titled “Beyond Isolation: Getting Connected in Network Science.” Together with fellow panelists Akrati Saxena and Natalia Albert, he shared his personal experiences and insights on thriving in the research community.
The conference was an inspiring and productive week for our colleagues, providing an invaluable opportunity to discuss new ideas and build connections for future collaborations.
