We are pleased to share that a study from our laboratory has received the MTA Publication Excellence Award from the Marketing Science Subcommittee of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. The award was presented at the EMOK (Association for Marketing Education and Research) conference organized by the University of Debrecen, where our co-author, Dr. Szilvia Bíró-Szigeti, accepted the recognition and delivered a short presentation on the paper.
The award-winning study — "Investigating Banks' Social Media Content and Consumer Reactions with Machine Learning" — was authored by Nóra Gombos, Artúr Vlaszov, Dr. Szilvia Bíró-Szigeti, and Dr. Roland Molontay. The research examines the relationship between brand identity elements and consumer reactions on social media. Among the key findings is that none of the brand identity elements analyzed had a commercially meaningful effect on consumer reactions. The study also identifies factors that significantly boost the popularity of social media posts, offering practically valuable insights for professionals in the field.
Congratulations to all co-authors on this well-deserved recognition!
